The highly anticipated top-of-the-table clash between Young Cherrypickers and the Gundagai Tigers took place at ANZAC Park, resulting in an 18 – 18 draw on Sunday.
Charlie Woolford and Liam Balzan scored 2 of the Cherrypickers 3 tries during the game, and Matthew Murray converted all of them.
It is a general bye this week for the Group 9 Competition. The Cherrypickers will be back on June 14 to take on the Wagga Kangaroos at Geohex Stadium.
Kangaroos are sitting 7th on the ladder while Cherrypickers sit third, but this doesn’t mean it will be a walk in the park for Young, who intends to bring their A-game next week.
The Kangaroos will be looking to get another win after a loss to Coota over the weekend, 18 – 14.
