In a proud moment for local business, Young Mitsubishi has taken out the prestigious Customer Experience Award for Number One Dealer in NSW and ACT, as announced at the annual Mitsubishi Dealer Awards held last week.
Dealer Principal and part-owner Jamie Harden was on hand to accept the award and said the recognition reflects the dedication and teamwork of his entire staff. The award, which covers all Mitsubishi dealerships across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory is a significant achievement, especially for a smaller regional dealer competing against much larger metro operations.

“We picked up the award last Wednesday during our business conference and awards night,” Jamie said. “It’s a pretty hard award to win, especially across such a big area. But it just goes to show that even the little guys a smaller dealer in Young can still take out top prize.”
The Customer Experience Award is not based on sales volume or targets. Instead, it is entirely customer-driven, with results coming from customer satisfaction surveys sent out to anyone who purchases or services a vehicle through Mitsubishi.

“Whenever a customer buys a new vehicle or brings their car in for servicing, they receive an email survey. That’s how Mitsubishi collects feedback, and it’s those results that determine who wins this award,” Jamie explained, “The award covers a 12-month period and includes both sales and service so it really is a full team effort.”
Jamie emphasised that the award is a reflection of consistent, high-quality service even when faced with challenging customer situations.
“For me, it reaffirms the hard work we put in here. The team goes above and beyond every single day, and we always aim to give them the best experience possible. To be recognised like this really means a lot to all of us.”

Importantly, the award requires a minimum threshold of returned surveys to ensure the results are valid. That means it’s not just about good service it’s about sustained customer satisfaction and engagement over time.
Jamie, who has been with HGH Motor Group formerly Harden Geelan Holden since 1993 and then purchasing Young Mitsubishi in 2016, said the award is one of the proudest moments in his career. “This isn’t just about me. It’s a whole team award. From the sales staff to the service team and everyone behind the scenes this is their win, too.”
He extended heartfelt thanks to his team and the loyal customers of Young and the wider region who continue to support the dealership.
“We’re absolutely thrilled, and incredibly thankful to our amazing customers. It’s their feedback that made this possible.”
As Young Mitsubishi celebrates this major milestone, the recognition is a shining example of what can be achieved through teamwork, dedication, and a strong commitment to customer care even in a small regional town.
