The Young Girl Guides have awoken to a blatant display of disrespect after vandals used the hall as a canvas for graffiti.
Sprayed in orange, the letters spell “FTP” and “FU”. It is understood that the initialism could mean “F*!** the police” and “F*!** You” in popularised slang.
It is unknown who is responsible for the tagging, and the mess has caused an uproar online.
“[It’s] disgusting behaviour,” wrote one person.
“Total disregard for our fine police officers. I hope they catch those responsible and prosecute them… Better still if they catch those who did this irrespective of age NAME AND SHAME them,” wrote another.
Some speculation has arisen about the age of the perpetrators, but more concern about the safe haven for the Girl Guides has trumped the guessing game.
“That’s low. Not only the sentiment and the general lack of respect for other people’s property, but this is a place for our little girls to hang out!” One outraged resident wrote.
A call out has now been made for the perpetrator to put their hand up to help the Guides clean off the paint from the hall, however no one has stepped forward at the time of writing this.
