Member for Cootamundra, Steph Cooke recently visited the Young Preschool and Kindergarten on June 30 to celebrate the milestones of three incredible teachers who have reached some truly remarkable years of service and experience within and to the community.
Angie Milne, Regina Cant and Lynne Smith have served 25 years, 25 years and 32 years respectfully, in education.
“Together, that’s an extraordinary 82 years of nurturing, educating and inspiring multiple generations of local children,” says Ms Cooke.
“It was very special to celebrate Angie, Regina and Lynne alongside the little learners, hardworking volunteer committee, fellow staff, family and friends.
The milestone also marks Lynne’s final week of teaching before retirement, and Ms Cooke says it was especially fitting to recognise Lynne’s remarkable 32 years of care, commitment and service to Young Preschool and Kindergarten.
“Early childhood educators play such an important role in giving our youngest community members the very best start in life,” says Ms Cooke.
“Through their kindness, patience and commitment, these three wonderful women have made a lasting difference to countless families across Young.
“Please join me in celebrating their incredible milestone and wishing Lynne all the best for life’s next chapter.”
