The Koorawatha Hotel will remain in community hands following its purchase by local farmer Glen Walton, ensuring the popular watering hole continues to serve both locals and visitors.
Glen, along with his son Aaron, will manage the day-to-day operations, focusing on maintaining friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere.
The hotel is now open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 10pm, providing greater access for the community and travellers alike.
“We’ve got a great range of cold beers on tap, along with a selection of spirits, wines and soft drinks,” Glen said.
Meals are available, with lunch served from 12pm to 2pm and dinner from 6pm to 8pm, Wednesday to Sunday. Meals on other days are available by appointment.
Patrons can also enjoy darts, pool and euchre, adding to the hotel’s relaxed, social environment.
“We’re looking forward to serving the community and keeping the Koorawatha Hotel going strong,” Glen said.
The hotel offers plenty of space to enjoy, including a beer garden, kids’ play area, dining room and outdoor seating. Accommodation is also available.
Visitors to the area can also explore local attractions such as Koorawatha Falls and the historic Bang Bang Hotel site.
