For one night only (or perhaps two if there’s enough interest), Australian superstar Tones and I, will be performing at one lucky location in Australia on 20 February, with tickets expected to cost $10. But there’s a catch.
Following her explosive concert in Young in March 2025, the Dance Monkey hitmaker has issued a challenge to determine where she will perform.
“I’m back in my home country Aus (sic),” she said on a post on Tuesday, 20 January.
“One big show and I’ll make tickets $10.
“All ages. Whatever place goes the hardest gets the show!!”
Promising a full band and choir, the singer (whose real name is Toni Watson) has also promised to provide a stage if it’s a small town.
That same day, the singer set out some guidelines as to how a town can win the concert.
“Make [Facebook] pages,” she says.
“Get your town to join the page. That’s the best way.
“You know me! I’ll do a few if I need to. But the comments are crazy, so I think the best thing is for someone to make a page for your town get (sic) people to like it and I’ll judge it off that.”
Claiming to be “erratic and last minute”, the singer promised that she and her managers are up for the challenge of finding the pages and determining a winner.
While this could be another chance for Young to win the spot, there has been a fair amount of attention from many of surrounding area with towns from several of our districts putting up their hands to host the concert.
When congratulated online by a fan for the opportunity, Tones and I responded by saying “[it’s] because this is the family I come home to.”
The winner will be announced Tuesday, 27 January on the singer’s Facebook page.
