Young Camera Club is currently holding its 27th Cherry Festival Photographic Exhibition at Young Services Club, upstairs in the Flamingos Room.
The exhibition opened on Tuesday 2 December, at 7:30 pm. The exhibition runs from Wednesday 3 Dec to Sunday 7 December from 10am to 4pm daily, except for Sunday 7 December, which is open from 10am to 2pm. The entry fee is $2. Visitors also have a chance to choose their favourite photo, with votes going to the People’s Choice Award.
There is plenty for everyone to see with almost 450 photos on display, in 13 categories, making it even larger than last year. The exhibition includes the Champion Print, Junior Champion Print, Junior Encouragement Award and other awards.
This year we have introduced the Margaret Lackersteen Most Successful Local Entry Award. There are many entries from Young and the surrounding areas, along with entries from NSW and overseas. We run prior to and during Young’s National Cherry Festival. So, why not come to the Young Services Club and enjoy our exhibition.
Young Camera Club’s next monthly meeting is on Wednesday, 10 December. We meet on the second Wednesday of the month, except for January.

There are 449 Photos on display, something for everyone with 13 categories of photos including two junior categories. The Champion Print (Will Sibley Memorial Award), Junior Champion Print (Helen Berridge Memorial Award) and the John van Rijswijk Memorial Encouragement Award Print (for a Junior entrant) will be on display.
This year we introduce the Margaret Lackersteen Memorial Award (for the most successful Local Entry). A People’s Choice Award will also be given. So come along and vote for your favourite photo.
