Hilltops Car and Bike Show will take place alongside the Cherry Festival weekend on December 6 at 10:00 am in Carrington Park, featuring many vehicles to admire. All vehicles are welcome for the free family day out.
There will be multiple lucky ticket prizes for entrants turning up at the event hosted by The Cherry Capital Collectors Club.
Dave Curtis of the Club said, “This will be the third one that we’ve done. It’s open to all cars and all bikes, in conjunction with the Cherry Fest.
“There’s also the Heritage Vintage Engine rally on in the park with it as well. That’s every two years, so that will be running in conjunction with the car show altogether in the park.
“Last year was rained out, we postponed it till March this year, and I think we had about 90 cars and bikes turn up for it. It was a pretty good turnout.
“The vintage engine rally is usually in the park, and it was hard to get people from the Cherry Festival downtown up to the park to look at the old engines.
“We decided to put a car show on with it to get a crowd there, and it has dragged people up from downtown to look at the cars as well as the old engines, which was the original plan for it.
“People can expect anything from hot rods from the ’30s and ’40s through to the classic cars of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s to modern stuff. It’s open to anything and every thing.
“We are always looking for sponsorship, and every entry in the car and bike show will receive something, a voucher or a prize. If any sponsors are out there that would like to come on board with donations, that would be kindly accepted.
“It’s free entry for the day.”
