The Young Golf Club is welcoming a new chapter with the grand reopening of its revamped Bistro, the Happy Soul Bistro. After a period of uncertainty following the departure of the previous chefs and their business, the Bistro is now back in full swing, offering mouthwatering food and a vibrant atmosphere that promises to delight both regulars and newcomers alike.
The much-anticipated relaunch was marked by a Grand Opening to the public last night, Wednesday, August 20th, but the excitement kicked off a few days earlier with an exclusive preview event for guests. Held on Friday, August 15th, the event gave the new chefs a chance to showcase their culinary talents, and the result was nothing short of spectacular.
“We were thrilled with the response from our guests,” said Belinda Allen, Events and Marketing Manager and Suzanne Davis, Functions Manager. “The night was a great success, and it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the food and the atmosphere. It was a great opportunity for us to connect with the local community and show them the exciting changes we’ve made.”
The evening featured a selection of delicious entrees, including crispy spring rolls, perfectly fried calamari, and sliders bursting with flavour.
For the main course, the highlight was a tender lamb, cooked to perfection and falling right off the bone. Guests were treated to a true feast, with every dish expertly prepared and presented by the talented new team behind the Bistro.
As part of the evening, attendees were also introduced to the newly appointed CEO of the Services Club, Lewis Butterworth, who has already made a noticeable impact since taking the reins. Originally from England, Lewis moved to Young specifically for the CEO position, bringing with him a fresh perspective and a strong passion for community engagement.
“We are excited to welcome the new Bistro staff and to be able to offer such high-quality food and service to our members and the wider community,” Lewis said. “It’s an exciting time for the club, and we have big plans to further enhance the experience for everyone who walks through our doors.”
Under Lewis’s leadership, the club is focused on promoting community engagement and ensuring that both members and visitors feel welcome. “My goal is to create a space where people of all ages can come together, enjoy great food, and participate in fun events. We’re here to serve the community and make all the clubs a place where everyone can have a good time,” Lewis explained.
The grand opening last night marked the beginning of a new era for the club, with future events, improved facilities, and ongoing initiatives designed to enhance the overall member experience.
