On Saturday night, Tones and I, absolutely lit up the Young Showground, bringing a burst of energy and excitement to the town. The concert was an unforgettable experience that turned Young into the place to be for the evening. Fans from nearby towns like Canberra, Harden, and even Sydney came out in full force, ready to see the Australian star live in action.
Tone’s performance was something special. She showcased her incredible showmanship and stage presence. The lighting was stunning, with dazzling displays that matched the beats of the music perfectly. The smoke machines and pyrotechnics added to the atmosphere, giving the whole thing a cool, ethereal vibe. It wasn’t just a concert; it was an experience.
Before Tones and I took the stage, some fantastic opening acts set the vibe for the night. Scarlett Gee and Soli were both great, each performing a mix of original songs and covers that got the crowd warmed up. Their sets were the perfect lead up to the main event, and it’s clear these artists have a lot of talent.
The gates opened at 2:30pm, but with the scorching heat that day, most people didn’t start showing up until later in the afternoon. By 7pm, the place was packed with eager concertgoers, all waiting for the 8 pm performance. The energy in the air was electric as Tones began her set, and it was clear that everyone was ready for an unforgettable night. The set ran for an hour and a half with the whole show rapping up at 9:30pm.
She opened her act by playing her personal favourite song “Fly away”, then continuing with an hour-long performance which tells her story through song, with catchy tracks and amazing visuals. She finished the performance with her hit song “Dance Monkey”, which has almost 4 billion streams on Spotify, before playing “Fly Away” for a second and final time.
Event Logistics Australia did an amazing job organizing the entire event, ensuring everything ran smoothly and the concert went off without a hitch. It was a night that will be remembered in Young for years to come and one that fans won’t forget any time soon. Tones and I truly brought something special to this small town, and it’s safe to say the community is already hoping for more events like this in the future.
The event as a whole was a huge success, with thousands of tickets sold. The buzz surrounding the event could really open the door for more big name performances to come to Young in the future.
